Dershowitz is in a real bind here, because on the one hand, “Epstein was good, actually” isn’t a winning position.

On the other hand, if Dershowitz doesn’t go on TV at least once a week, he will literally die, so 🤷‍♂️
Dershowitz: The predecessor on your show described Epstein as a convicted pedophile. He pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. That’s not a pedophile.

Russia is the worst country.

China is the most dystopian.

But the United States is the stupidest.
New: A site licensing Trump's name is selling merch with the presidential seal — including a $20 beer-pong set with “Presidential themed balls.”

Federal law says you can’t manufacture or sell likenesses of the seal without authorization.

The news when Joe Biden goes to extraordinary lengths to NOT blend family and governance: “What is he hiding, a 90-part investigation.”

The news when Donald Trump engages in open corruption: …
Rrrrgh, there's a word for when a family blends its business interests with governance in a democracy, it's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't think of it!! I hate it when this happens.

May I humbly suggest that the insanely long titles that academics have bestowed upon themselves, especially the weird NASCAR sponsor "chairs," should be ditched, at least in any kind of media accounts.

Yeah, this is not true.

No MAGAs on the internet are persuadable. You might get them apathetic enough to not vote but you’re not going to win them over.

This is real. A government agency calling Americans performing their democratic right of protest “imbecilic morons.” This Trump regime is a poison and never should have gotten power. A total disgrace.

Rudy Bridges is younger than the Sitting President of the United States and 29 sitting United States Senators
It’s useful for people of my generation to be reminded that this wasn’t that long ago. Ruby Bridges isn’t just still alive—she’s only 71, not ancient!
65 years ago on Nov. 14, little Ruby Bridges was escorted into an all-white elementary school in New Orleans. Norman Rockwell, renowned for blissful depictions of Americana, did this remarkable painting for Look magazine. Printed as a double page, over-size spread, it's his masterpiece.

Agree. Summers engaging in friendly gossipy 100% sexist emails with underage-girls-sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, long *after* Epstein had been indicted, shows remarkably poor judgement and hubris. Professional economists should openly question people and institutions that honor Summers.

The thing about these emails that immediately struck me was that Larry Summers was emailing Jeffrey Epstein as if they were *best friends* not just acquaintances.

A lot of education discourse is at root an inability to decide whether the purpose of our education system is to 1) teach material and measure learning 2) reward students who work hard 3) separate the smart kids (destined for smart guy jobs) from the dumb kids (destined to serve the smart guys)

A former career DOJ guy told me a few weeks ago that prior to Trump, the FBI was the varsity team, DHI and ICE were junior varsity, and Border Patrol were like a drunken office softball team. And under Trump, the drunk softball guys are now in charge.
Listen to this Border Patrol agent cry about how he's going to be DOXXED after being arrested for drunkenly barging into a woman's restroom with a loaded gun, demanding a date from the woman inside, and then punching the arresting officers.

This weekend marks the fourth anniversary of my father's death. He was a complicated guy, especially so during the last few years of his life. The thought of a fucking a.i. on my phone trying to capture his humor and complexity and, frankly, craziness, makes me feel ill. I'll stick with my memories.
For real, check this out. Evil.
