Stop. Anthropomorphising. AI.

It can't "lie", any more than it can apologise, or tell the truth. It isn't human; it doesn't have agency or intent. It doesn't know what lying is; it doesn't have human emotions or motivations. Grok is a shit tool with zero guardrails, made deliberately so by humans.
Grok is now lying about its image creation. This reply is at end of an extensive discussion where a user did their best to make it admit it had put Renee Good's dead body in a bikini

The example of that I verified is real and remains on X - not linking to it but censored screengrab and prompt below

Pope Leo has a chance to do the funniest thing of all time.
Editorial in the National Catholic Reporter: "The vice president's comments justifying the death of Renee Good are a moral stain on the collective witness of our Catholic faith. His repeated attempts to blame Good for her own death are fundamentally incompatible with the Gospel."
Catholic Vice President Vance takes to social media to justify killing of Renee Good
After the tragic shooting of Renee Good at the hands of ICE, the Catholic vice president of the United States took to social media to justify the killing.

There’s a phenomenon I’ve observed from some on the other app who are Never Trump but have a strange love for Rubio and think he should be President in 28. They expect us just to move on. And it’s like “no dawg, the whole political operation is too far gone and must face the full wrath of the law”
The “prosecute the former regime at every level” candidate has my vote in 2028.

For the press "the president has turned a federal agency into a political kidnapping and murder squad" is unthinkable. Ergo they must not think it

A friendly reminder that ICE officers are already some of the least trained and least educated law enforcement in the federal government — and then the Trump admin cut both standards even more last year.
This seems significant: not a FORMER DHS official, but a SENIOR (current) one saying the officer who fired acted counter to training.

This is not an admin that admits mistakes. And they are hanging this guy out to dry on Day One.

I think they know this is bad. Really bad.

Wary of opining on this for obvious reasons, I don't think people who scream racist abuse in the street are that interested in your migration status.

Indeed, I think part of the problem is they often use "asylum seeker" as a stand in for "migrant I don't like the look of".
- It is entirely legitimate for the Home Secretary to highlight the overt racism that she receives for taking part in public life.

- Everybody should oppose that racism against her, whatever their politics.

- But it is important to make several other points about this argument about racism.

The amount of elite misogyny is getting out of control.
Look, the internet is a cesspit, everybody knows that, now to take a take a big sip of coffee and check in with what's going with the media and professional commentariat.

I can reassure the New York Times that networks of mutual protection, and misogynist retaliation efforts that benefit abusive men at the expense of the young women they prey upon, are very much still intact post-Me Too.
This is nauseating: “As the emails stretch through the years, they show how that protected realm vanished into the mists of time, pulled under by the rising forces of the internet and the #MeToo movement.” A “Gone With the Wind” framing for sexual abuse and harassment.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

to drop the kayfabe, the epstein emails are so horrifying and the participants so ghoulishly open and celebratory about raping children that i don’t know how to grapple with it

they’re not hiding it. they consider what they’re doing so easy, the young women so disposable. it’s a big joke to them.

Important to understand that sexual violence is political violence, enacted specifically to enforce class, race, and, yes, gender hierarchies.
I sometimes feel like they don’t want to end poverty or reduce inequality because they believe they’re entitled to a class of people they can prey upon

Can we circle back to the part where the NY Times never disclosed that they have incriminating information on Donald Trump from sent by Epstein that's been sitting on their email servers for nearly a decade?

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed
