Look at this image (and thread - use the translate service).

This one reads along the lines of:

"..Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) without cleaning.

In just 15 minutes of acquisition, we counted 1,659 satellite trails (about 400 individual ones).

Words cannot describe the pollution of near space."

How many from cars?
NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

New West leading where Vancouver is failing
No dunk on our western suburb, but #NewWest is ramping up its support for arts, culture, & festivals in the City at a time when grant funding is harder to get. This starts with a 50% increase in our Community Grants program that supports many of the events that make #NewWest fun...
Here’s my feature on the fireworks being cancelled, how it links back to the origins of “No Fun City” a quarter century ago, and why other festival groups in Vancouver are worried

grateful I got to say “evil doppelgänger of world class city” on the air this week

Huh yeah it seems to be exactly the right time to build a new tarsands pipeline.

"At the risk of flogging a very dead horse, our message to the market has remained consistent since June 2023. While demand is robust, supply is simply too abundant."

It shouldn’t be controversial in Canada to say:

I want clean air and water for our children.

I want our children to grow up in a Canada where all people are treated as equals.

I want our children to be free to choose whom they wish to be and grow up in a safe and fair society.

Weird, I didn’t know Nenshi jumped ship to the Conservatives. Did I miss a news story? Because saying digging up tarsands and burning them overseas is a “clear measure to reduce emissions” is anti-climate doublespeak I’d expect from them, not the NDP.
The new Canada-Alberta MOU is a positive step for our energy future.

Meaningful investments in Pathways, clear measures to reduce emissions, and a stronger industrial carbon price give Albertans the certainty we need to move forward. /1

A pipeline that private companies aren't asking for, that BC & indigenous nations along the route oppose, that requires breaching the tanker ban to sell oil to countries that aren't interested in buying it, negotiated with the scandal-plagued premier who paused trampling rights for this.

There's a persistent reflex to assume that projects like this are liberally coded, only popular in progressive enclaves. But the actual evidence goes the other way. Liberals aren't the only ones who like to cross the street safely. Conservatives also ride bikes and like to do so without dying.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

"debate"

Pretty sure we all know how this one's going to go. Debate implies there's actually room for discussion and changing opinions.
Budget day for the City of Vancouver!

Debate has started on the $2.4 billion 2026 budget, which includes a property tax freeze on the local section, $50 million more for the VPD, and cuts to several other departments, including Arts, Culture, Planning and Sustainability.
