There are a lot of folks in their 20s & 30s who need to learn more about cooking & are making basic errors, so here’s a Cooking Basics 101 thread while I make some refried beans.

Stove dials go between, say, 1 and 10. Use them. Some things need cooking slowly. Some fast. It changes everything.

regardless of anything that happens, a 41-year-old with an obliterated ACL competing at the Olympics is an all-time sports moment
honestly feels unbelievable: Lindsay Vonn attempted and completed her training run today, a week after tearing her ACL, hitting a top speed of 74 mph.
They haven't fixed her ACL, it's just flopping around in there. And her other knee is made out of titanium. Very literally built different

See: Last line of this from the mayor. bsky.app/profile/joan...
Is this red states rejecting mass deportation, or is it just red state NIMBYism?
Remarkable: Trump's planned migrant prison camps are hitting deep resistance in red areas. In Virginia's partly rural Hanover (+26 Trump) opposition is intense. GOP leaders in other states are opposed.

Voters are rejecting mass deportations big time. 1/

Every lawyer knows this man. He’s the one who loved to “play devil’s advocate” for rapists in crim and do a “thought experiment” about what if maybe Brown v Board was wrong actually in con law.
JD Vance is the most loathsome character in American politics, and it's mostly because he's immediately recognizable to anyone with an interest in politics as The Worst Guy From Your PoliSci Class
Reporter: Do you plan to apologize to the family of Alex Pretti?

Vance: For what?
