I assume in the wake of the Nuzzi thing there’s gonna be people who think “I should do the REAL story on RFKj” even though everyone knows the real story and either acknowledge he sucks or pretend they think he’s great. All the facts are out about him: he’s legit evil and most likely insane

I'm watching the first season of Inside Man and it's a very lovely show but Ted Danson just dropped Ezra Klein's name as a podcast he's listening to and somehow I think it helped me understand better why rich liberals will crawl through broken glass to listen to people who tell them they're right.

I would argue a casserole is any savory dish, cooked in a deep baking dish, that has 3 or more major ingredients, and it has one cohesive mass. Meaning, one 2 by 2 inch square shouldn't be different from another. By major ingredients i mean herbs and spices don't count, a can of something does.

People hate turkey because it takes all the difficulties around chicken and amplifies them. Cooking is hard, roasting a whole bird is one of the hardest things to do. The best recipes ask you to either spatchcock or get a baking steel, etc. But that doesn't mean turkey isn't delicious.

some see this as claiming that sexism motivated the elimination of inkers. to be clear, sexism wasn’t the driving factor, but the gendered construction of creative/uncreative labor had the effect of making women’s jobs more expendable than men’s. it’s not conspiratorial to call the firing sexist
the reason 101 dalmations looks like that is because disney incorporated xerography (ie early photocopying technology) into the animation process. rough pencils (by mostly male animators) were copied onto the cels so that disney could fire the (mostly female) inkers. remember that art can lie to you
