I asked my kid to draw me a profile picture that would upset people that get angry about gay rainbows. A person is wearing a rainbow hat with little ears and eyes. It says LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. Pride flags in background

When you think of health and safety laws and human rights laws as “obstructive bureaucracy”, stopping you being as vicious and damaging as you want to be to immigrants - who you encourage voters to blame for your own abject failures - you’ve become a monster. Let’s hope it ends up devouring itself.

"Australians deserve homes that keep them safe, not homes that put their health at risk. If governments fail to act on minimum standards and rent limits, they are not just neglecting renters. They are choosing to leave people at risk as the country grows hotter, one summer at a time."
Australia’s heatwaves are getting deadlier – and renters are paying the price | Maiy Azize
Some are trapped in a vicious cycle: rising rents, rising energy bills and falling standards. But this is not inevitable

Amazing cover of this piece of musical history about Hitler. I’m very impressed that this band decided to cover this song for now other reason than to make sure we can all appreciate Irving Berlin’s lyrical talent.

A lot of the Male Loneliness Epidemic can be traced back to the fact that most cis dudes don’t participate in communal logistics.
I think @sarahjeong.bsky.social said it's because they devalue women's labor and a LOT of this Scary Logistics stuff comes from people who don't understand that basically all of the civic life they enjoy is created with the help of free labor, largely by women.
Tho I will say, in his defense, he's not the first person to be confused by how quickly the romance authors & readers can whip up finely tuned logistics out of nothing. 😂

Day 863 of the siege of Minneapolis, Tsarist forces have been stymied by midwestern homes having a kitchen fridge, a basement fridge, a beer/garage fridge & a deep freeze before they resort to hunting/fishing activities they are heavily trained for - defections are high, natives are dug in
these guys are LARPing like siege commanders talking about "supply lines"

rightoids literally cannot comprehend the idea of a community caring for their own; these people live in Minneapolis their supply line is a five minute drive to the grocery store

This is also connected to that whole thing where all their fantasies of protecting their own *family* centers on enacting violence and not, like, vaccinating their kids and making sure they're prepared for a power outage etc.

Even people they know, they only think of in terms of violence.
rightwingers see people caring about others in their community and instead of finding that inspiring they think it’s some sort of grand conspiracy because they don’t understand what it means to care for others you don’t personally know

At least three people emptied out their couch cushions for this!
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.
