If you are National Guard or Active Duty military and you are being ordered to violate the constitutional rights of US citizens then this is the number to the GI Rights Hotline.

There is support. You don’t have to go through with it. 877-447-4487

My wife watched a documentary about Hitler’s inner circle a few months ago.

COMPLETELY UNRELATED FACT: she’s been predicting vicious infighting and messy public spats in the Trump Administration.

Elon Musk has been a walking SEC violation for a decade and no one cared. The entire Trump era could have been avoided if the US took white collar crime anywhere near as seriously as it does low level drug crime.

On a 2023 earnings call, Elon Musk boasted that Tesla had bagged “over 1 million” Cybertruck reservations and that “demand is off the charts.”

So why has the company still sold less than 50,000 trucks since customer deliveries began 14 months ago?
‘Over 1 Million’ People Wanted a Cybertruck. Where Are They?
“Demand is off the charts!” Elon Musk crowed at the end of 2023, citing more than a million reservations for Tesla's polarizing polygonic pickup—so why has it still sold less than 50,000?

I work for a local community-based non-profit called Hyattsville Aging in Place that among other things offers "friendly visits" and phone calls. There's infrastructure created for these that make it easy to organize. We can prevent Gene Hackman death situations if we work together.

Donald Trump targeted AP and legacy media did nothing.

Donald Trump has now targeted two large law firms and Big Law is silent.

You all read Martin Niemöller's poem “First They Came.”

So, I ask you -- What are you doing?

There will no longer be any federal crime data on transgender Americans.

From a guy who used to work there: Rachel is a remarkable person and the best TV news talent there is. If she says something is fucked up, it is. Getting rid of Joy, who dared to see through this fascism bullshit years ago and had the gall of occasionally being funny about it, is dumb.
Maddow: I think it is a bad mistake to let Joy Reid walk out the door. It is also unnerving to see that on a network where we've got two nonwhite hosts in primetime, both of our nonwhite hosts in primetime are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend. I do not defend it.
