My husband and I are both on Verizon but he's had no signal all day and I have full bars. What did they do? This is such a strange way to have an outage.

January 14th, 2026: Microsoft has finally realized I am still in the escalation chain for npm's AWS account and removed me.

Remember kids: once a post hits 250 reactions, you mute it. After that it's just people repeating the same things or totally misunderstanding what you said. No good comes of it.

Trumpism has permanently shattered my belief that voters know what is best for them, and thus my faith in the entire foundation of democracy. What do you do when you can't trust people not to punch the self-destruct button?

I once dated a vegetarian who broke up with me over the noises I made when eating prosciutto.

Some people are so evil I will publicly celebrate when they die, others just evil enough that I will do so in the group chat.

Wow — New YouGov / Economist poll:

46% support abolishing ICE
43% oppose abolishing ICE

This is the first time that abolishing ICE has received net positive support

semi-regular reminder that ICE was only created in 2003

when you are asked to imagine a world without ICE, you're basically being asked to remember where you were when Lilo & Stitch came out

the only reason "abolish ICE" is seen as radical is that no one will say it but the far left. if every normie Democrat started saying it tomorrow it would move the overton window so far you'd have to squint to find it. my kingdom for leaders who understand they can shape public opinion.
Democrats officially going all in on the mealy mouthed “ICE needs training” narrative.

No. ABOLISH ICE.
WARNER: It used to take 5 to 6 months to get trained. They've now lowered the training period to 47 days. Why 47 days? Because Donald Trump's the 47th president. Tell me that's a rational approach

KERNEN: I'm not taking that bait

WARNER: Joe! You can't pick your facts

Anybody using the phrase "banana republic" to describe a political situation should be first required to write a 4-paragraph essay about the modern history of Central America and how it applies to the situation they are describing.

California State Senator Scott Weiner, who is running for Nancy Pelosi’s seat and is Jewish, was slammed last week when he declined to state — yes or no — whether Israel was committing a genocide in Gaza.

He now says that, yes, he believes Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza.

Every month GitHub faithfully emails me to let me know that my free access to GitHub copilot -- a service I have never used and don't have a clear idea of what it does -- has been renewed. I do not know why they give me free access and I'm too afraid to ask.

Driving in the Mission is a great ad for why humans should not be allowed to drive and replaced by robots. These people do not know what they are doing.
