“I hope every woman who has ever faced an abuser like Cuomo knows she doesn’t have to be ashamed, she doesn’t have to hide. Because we will beat these monsters. New Yorkers said “no more” to Andrew Cuomo, and that is just remarkable.” indypendent.org/2025/07/we-w...
‘We Will Beat These Monsters’: Lindsey Boylan Reacts to Cuomo’s Defeat

Nothing about Cuomo surprises me.

But WhyTF does a state cover the expenses of an elected official charged with breaking the law? WhyTF does that continue AFTER they leave office?

Former NY Gov. Cuomo continues to be a drain on NY taxpayers years after he left office, harassing victims of his abuse to the tune of 10.5 million dollars so far.
Also, you know whose legal expenses are not paid for even if they were policy makers at the same level as the governor? His victims.
“That brings the state’s costs for the case alone to $10.5 million under a law that entitles state employees to reasonable litigation expenses if they are accused of wrongdoing while serving in their positions.”

Surely these expenses are UNreasonable? Could the comptroller shut this down?

The comptroller has been in office since 2007 and is up for election in 2026 if anyone wants to run on this?

Taxpayers Forked Out Another $1.3 Million for Cuomo’s Sexual Harassment Defense
As his failed mayoral campaign played out, the former governor’s lawyers ran up the bill contesting the claims of a former state trooper on his security detail.

"the suits against the former governor accounted for a third of all litigation fees paid by the state in 249 cases since January 2020."
I guess the Pedofuhrer is Cuomo's role model.

2025 was bad for countless reasons but one way in which it was good is that NYC voters told this creep to go kick rocks

Bummed that some of my taxes are going to support Andrew Cuomo in harassing people he sexually harassed like @lindseyboylan.bsky.social, bummed that more taxes are going to harass, detain & deport immigrants; bummed that other taxes fund Trump’s corruption. Extra bummed they aren’t funding USAID!

Feels like there’s space for an “Andrew Cuomo sexual harassment and abuse responsibility act” to clean up this mess.

When a governor sexually harasses his subordinates and resigns in disgrace, the state pays his legal fees. But his victims - who are state employees! - have to pay their legal bills out of-pocket.
