He could see the thought process; Ivantreste hadn’t needed to jolly anyone along on his coup’s morality. Everyone whose opinion mattered had wanted to stick it to the Complex, and what he had needed to prove was that he was capable of pulling it off. #DeckTheHalls Definitely Larkosh and Illianna, the orc duke and his estranged (but not by the end of the story) human duchess. He pushes her away because of threats on her life, because he loves her more than anything, and it takes them 10 years to find their way back to each other. But they do.

As a whole, Rivals fits both upright and reversed as a book very well tbh. For characters, minor cheat, but Rotanu specifically (in Rivals)-- a lot of the conflict in the book comes from temptation of changing the past + differences in how he and Sia believe they should proceed

This is JUST MY OPINION
I see artists say they don't use alt text because they can't begin to describe the image
IMO *some* indication of the image is better than nothing

this is similar to what I've come to think of as the "reverse turing test"
when people find synthetic text is "good enough" to complete a task (homework, business report, email) it doesn't mean the machine is smart. it means they were asked to produce something that didn't matter

So similarly, when we see people who prefer ChatGPT or a similar synthetic text extruding machine as a source of medical information, that means those are people who are under-served in the current system.
