It's funny just how easy it is to be cis and get the support of the trans community here. A simple, but active statement of "trans people are real and we should get off their fucking backs and let them be who they are" basically gets full credit.

It's a complicated dynamic that's gotten us to this terrible place, but one key part of it, IMO, is that these companies regard their users not as customers with pre-existing needs they seek to fulfill, but as a malleable product whose attention they seek to manipulate and monetize.

So grateful to everyone in NYC who mobilized to stop the ICE raid of Canal St. The violence being committed against immigrants is heart-wrenching, but the shows of solidarity we have seen around the country give me so much hope.
