This report from an ultra right wing Israeli news channel sympathetic to Ben Gvir and Smotrich reports that Ben Gvir and Israel Katz are explicitly urging the IDF to shoot unarmed children
‼️ Israeli ministers argue over shooting Palestinian children near Gaza “Yellow Line”

Israel’s Channel 14 reported a heated cabinet session over how to handle Palestinians approaching the “Yellow Line” — the invisible divide stretching across all of Gaza and splitting it in half, that Israel...

Not usual. And thus very newsworthy, and worth reading.

If Labour is continuing to lose votes, just got 11% in a by-election in a seat they've held for 100 years and in a few recent polls is equal to or just behind the Greens maybe we should stop suggesting they're the only thing that can defeat Reform.

“I am not interested, nor will I ever be interested. I'm 61, and I hope to be able to remain uninterested in using it at all until I croak. ... The other day, somebody wrote me an email, said, ‘What is your stance on AI?’ And my answer was very short. I said, ‘I'd rather die.’” 🫡
Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro says 'I'd rather die' than use generative AI
Del Toro's new Frankenstein adaption reimagines Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic novel. Frankenstein was like a tech bro: "creating something without considering the consequences," he explains.

One unremarked factor in the “return to office” discourse is that bosses made the actual offices the most miserable places you could possibly be. Even if you didn’t work in a factory they seemed to want you to feel like you did
Congrats workers on your new hell zone

‘Gender critical’ transphobes behaving in the same way that privileged white women did historically in response to desegregating spaces based on skin colour! 😣

They’re just disgusting bigots who have triggered themselves into phobia!

I'm part of a group that's doing similar things after my city's main pride folded this year. The tactic the group's settled on is a series of smaller events across the city, rather than one big one, increasing accessibility and showing the different aspects and areas of queer life in this city.

One of those Soldier F was accused of killing was William McKinney, 26. His brother, Mickey, says he does not blame the judge for today's verdicts

"The blame lies firmly with the British state, with the RUC who failed to investigate the murders on Bloody Sunday properly or indeed at all," he says.

The current government could just ...stop it.
They choose not to.
They choose to not only implement it, but champion it, defend it vehemently, call it an absolute good. It's the most literal example of Labour adopting Tory policy.
What the Tories propose, Labour protects. Just like with the anti-protest bill and the Online "Safety" Act.

Reminder that it costs more money to spy on, deny and oppress Universal Credit receivers than it does to literally just give everyone who applies the money with no questions asked.
If they were concerned about fraud, they'd investigate their goddamn selves.

Work is not a health outcome. It’s a social determinant — and sometimes a damaging one. Putting DWP work coaches in GP surgeries turns healthcare into a branch of welfare policing.
