Gamer and game modder; I've put way too many hours into Paradox Interactive games. I'm online in most places with this username.

So clearly your test was at fault 🙄
Have you considered that you might be "prompting it wrong"?
So much for freedom of religion and religious exemptions 🙄
Fair, how do you feel about My Little Pony? That's the other well known total conversion.

I'd plug my own, but it isn't up to date, and probably doesn't have as much content as you're looking for.
Old World Blues is very solid
Just from inflation alone, a $50 game in 2000 is the equivalent of a $95 game in 2025
I petition to rename your institute to "Magic Invocation Research Association for Global Enlightenment".

It's got a slightly more catchy acronym I think
Yeah, my friend is quite a WWII buff, with his favorite topic the British Navy, ask him about any of the famous ships, but only if you want to know everything about them.
A friend and I play the game Company of Heroes from time to time. We haven't played the Axis factions since '24, because we can't have fun anymore even with the remove of it being "just a game".

Playing the Allies on the other hand, well, that's a time honored tradition.
Devereaux describes how we are in an in-between moment: of autocracy and fascism, not approaching, but present, not completed, but in progress.

Our challenge is to meet the moment and not shy from it, to not pretend that we can wait for someone else to meet it. Action and inaction are both choices.
I found this exchange, at ~ 55 mins in (youtu.be/m7X0t-MGnUU?...) in the Dispatch Pod telling - how it captures the different vibes I get from center and center-right friends.

In particular, Kevin Williamson's declaration, "we're not waiting for the emergency to get here, the emergency is here."

If you’re in a creative field and you don’t lift up the work of your peers, you can’t expect people to care about your stuff
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
I looked at some comments, and it really is a lot of cut and paste, all claiming fraud and illegal voting, a vanishingly small problem here in the USA.

I added my own handcrafted comment because voting is important to me and I believe it is important to make voting easy for all eligible citizens.
You may not think this is a big deal, but the commenters who are cut & pasting in language to add burdens to millions of voters think it's a big deal.

Part of the regulatory process is the count and review of proposed regs. Make your voice heard.

Same! It was a great costume.
I know it's on the devs to do good research, but they are generally receptive when the community gives suggestions and corrections, especially ones that are easily implemented like updating names and name lists.

This isn't really a problem for the newer games (CK3, Vic3, and upcoming EU5), as they use full unicode so it's just font support that is required, which is there now for nearly everything.

everyone would agree that if you believe in what is right, it doesn't matter if it's controversial. i would go a step further and say: you should not even concede to the *idea* that what you believe is controversial.

trans rights is only controversial if you act like it's controversial.

Wen should direct more attention to incidents like these because Americans are more likely to respond to brutality to pets than to brutality to human beings.
EL PASO — a family says ICE showed up at their house looking for migrants and shot and KILLED THEIR DOG, then didn’t help them as the agent ran away and was not identified.

"Fully automated luxury space capitalism" is the goal.

"Oh, you can't afford that? Should have worked harder and pulled yourself up by your bootstraps"
When someone designs/describes their "ideal society", it often comes with the assumption that they would be at the top.

Instead, we should do so with the assumption we would be at the bottom.
When you could code silly quizzes on Facebook, it was FULL of "what would you be in medieval times?!" etc.

I made one that nearly always answered "died as a child", "died in childbirth", "lived and died as a servant"

People got SUPER mad with it.

Everyone assumes they'll be at the top of the tree
The subtext of ‘we should be more like Dubai’, beyond the obvious racism, is ‘I should have a servant’.
