Thanks everyone! It took me over a year to write, but I think you and/or your kid(s) will have many laughs together.
Speaking as someone who does a lot of laundry, why is it that with boy clothes you can tell the approximate size of the boy, but with girl clothes there is just literally no correlation. Like you can find a sock the size of a quail egg that turns out to be a sweater.

Feels like post-Trump there's way less complaining about "econ 101" thinking. Like concerns about the imperfections of demand curves were a luxury belief you got to hold before masked men were pulling workers out of factories, and trade with Europe was taxed in order to expropriate Greenland.

Always easy to dunk on this stuff, but what I also try to consider is... imagine this existed at precisely the loneliest moment of your 20s. How confident are you that you wouldn't use it? Like, this almost co-existed with COVID quarantine.

Half-serious. I wonder if you could create an "apocalypse index" containing only publicly traded companies that handle things like e.g. ammunition, precious metals, and camping gear.

So there's this quote, in which John Stuart Mill is delightfully referred to as "his Satanic free trade majesty." Awesome. Turns out it goes back to Henry Adams' "The Education of Henry Adams," (published 1918) which I've read. And, I'm not sure the epithet is meant to be entirely serious. Context:

Interesting way to show LLMs are not thinking like humans. Like, a 5 year old might do a lot of stupid stuff, but not this kind of error, where it's drawn something that is solution-like but clearly nonsensical.

From discussion, looks like it may have already been solved in prior lit. A weird thing about neural networks is that we can't actually tell if it used that source or not.

One of the weird things about writing a book called A City on Mars has been discovering that a *really* popular question posted by clickfarms frequently is "What would you name a city on Mars?" Not sure what human brain wizardry this question performs, but it does seem to work.

Odd thing I've noticed lately, which is that over time I've been able to do work I care more and more and more about, and this significantly adds to my stress level. This was probably predictable, but somehow you imagine "I get to do the stuff I care about" would be more relaxing.
