Obsessed with this, from @curtisdozier.bsky.social’s excellent new book on the misuse of Greek and Roman antiquity by white nationalists

there are supposedly (long dead) links to CSAM, not actual images in the bitcoin blockchain

obviously nobody wants to look too closely

there was an actual image in the BSV blockchain, which everyone was horrified by, and the client changed never to read it

It also shows (and I know a lot of people will be angry about this) that the Greens' approach to Gaza is neither the vote-loser nor the 'gotcha' that fundamentally undermines their politics. If it's 'naïve', it's also something that resonates with many people, not just the extremes.

Aftermath was born from the wake of previous Washington Post layoffs, a way to keep writing for the audience we knew was out there without short-sighted corporate decisions getting in the way. The indie road is a tough one, but it's one way forward for writers and readers

Nuremberg 2 needs a special section for Palantir employees. Every one.
Can you imagine being the software engineers, engineering managers, product managers, designers, QA testers, and devops that built and run this? Cashing out your palantir equity for "deportation targets"? Accomplices and ghouls, all of them

Or, and I say this with love, asking critical questions to which you don’t like the answers, getting vaguely frustrated that execs plow ahead with clearly harmful and immoral products, and then contributing to building them anyway because “everyone has to make compromises”.

The reason I post this phrase is not to say that everyone who works in tech is bad; but the normative mode in tech is not asking critical questions about the products you are making, cashing in, and getting vaguely frustrated when you can’t just focus on “politically-neutral techno-optimism”.

Huge plaudits to @financialtimes.com which has led the way on exposing Mandelson and has also done great reporting on the corruption of Trump. What a contrast to @thetimes.com which did a soft interview with Mandy and has been hopeless on Trump

Meta now forcing all employees to use AI tools and tying it to employee performance, according to @theinformation.com.

HR said "this is not an activity tracker—it’s an impact-evidence starter"

That's a fun way to rebrand workplace surveillance.

Epstein was not an outlier at all, because the only people who become billionaires are people just as thoroughly amoral and just as divorced from consequences by their mountains of cash.

He's simply the only one partially dragged into the light *so far*
