A few hours before troopers started dragging protesters away, another reporter asked if we've seen a lot of feds kneeling on people "like George Floyd."

Told him on any given day in this country, a cop is doing that. That's policing. Of course the feds are, too. This is mundane for them.

All of this. Learning to criticize the unsafe or unfair actions of people I was close to was a big part of my extensive PTSD therapy because it allowed me to learn to identify potential abusers and narcs in my life more easily.

People gotta become comfortable with calling out their favorite people.

but I would say there's defensiveness in there, a feeling of being attacked in there, a feeling of being angry in there. That's you being a hit dog howling

I have had MANY such teachers, but hers I recall because it was for me a big breakthrough. Previously I'd still talk...and would evolve that way, but that's involving the labor of others in your work (which can be okay)

Thinking and hyping that a politician can do no wrong is a sure way of demoralizing people. Knowing that Mamdani will do something very boneheaded is the way to look at him too. I take great joy in the good things he and Pritzger do but..

They are all politicians. Treat them as such.

People need to STOP being fans of politicians. We need to be able to criticize when they're doing things that are detrimental, or their inaction causes harm.

Become comfortable with calling out your favorite people when they fuck up.
