I believe that whatever is in the Epstein files is far worse for the cult leader and many in Congress than we have imagined because Rs are going so far out of the way with distractions and vacations to keep it squelched.

not even slightly joking when I say that sora should not exist. it should be crime for something like it to be made available without restriction to the general public. its servers should be destroyed with hammers

Does it make anyone else feel crazy that every media and political representative is someone who never has to worry about where rent’s coming from this month?

Dear democrats:

The right is gonna hit you with the too liberal label no matter what you do.

Why not try actually being too liberal for once and see where it gets you.

Stop running from your base and expect them to continue to give a shit.

Run folks under the age of 60 for the love of god

This heartbreaking excerpt from Virginia Giuffre's posthumous memoir is a horrific reminder that MAGA's obsession with Epstein has never been about the children he, Maxwell, and others abused. The way those protecting Trump have dealt with the story aids and abets abusers and normalizes abuse.
Virginia Giuffre’s Memoir Reveals How Ghislaine Maxwell Found the Teen at Mar-a-Lago and Sent Her to Jeffrey Epstein
Before she died by suicide earlier this year, Virginia Giuffre wrote Nobody’s Girl, a devastating memoir of her abuse, including at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein. This excerpt is her account of meeting...

If you want to see the TikToks of a student documenting the horrifying fact that her professor used AI to "write" the textbook she subsequently published and forces her students to use/buy; but also some truly unprofessional behavior from the prof on being caught:

One of the biggest issues in democratic politics is how the consultants everyone hires sees voters as just a cash machine and they pummel them with messages asking for money instead of activating them for politics. It rightfully makes people extremely cynical.

White people’s insistence that other white people—especially the ones exhibiting morally questionable behavior—deserve the benefit of the doubt is going to kill us all.

A 13-year-old boy in Massachusetts was detained by local police on Thursday. When his mother arrived to pick him up, she learned that her son had instead been taken into ICE custody and later transferred to a juvenile facility in Virginia, more than 500 miles away.

grateful for my union because I just saw a TT job posting where the salary range is well below the contractually-mandated minimum salary that I and my union comrades enjoy

Why are people who look like me called "prisoners" when they get kidnapped, but the people who resemble Europeans are called "hostages" ... and then in the same breath, I'll get accused of being "woke" or "radical" or even "antisemitic" just for bringing this up because the answer is uncomfortable.

What HE managers fail to understand is that in the context of the Humanities, ‘employability’ isn’t teaching coding or carpentry, but skills around writing, presenting, reasoning, evaluation, analysis, research etc. In an 80% service economy, these are the skills that fundamentally matter.

If you're angry about immigration now, wait until you hear about 2°C+ global warming and the impact that will have. People, in fact whole nations will not patiently wait to die where they stand.

To be clear:

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

Everyone, the days of NOT CREDITING photojournalists and video journalists are OVER. You MUST CREDIT photographers and videographers who are risking bodies and lives.

Also very important, we can't verify without knowing sources.

No one is being singled out. But from now on, you will be CALLED OUT.

The @chicago.suntimes.com photographer who risked their personal health and safety to take this photograph is Anthony Vazquez. Please credit photographers and media outlets. In this age of misinformation, a photo with no context could be anything at all.

Thanks to Ms. Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan, the cat, I now know how our president's "hair" is produced.
A picture of two FURminator brushes (one for under coat and the other for stuck hair) for cats. The left one is gray with large "teeth," the right one is online green with more narrow and smaller "teeth." Both had the brand-name on front along with a paw logo. On top there's a bunch of cat fur resembling Trump's toupee.
