What I'm saying is that, even with the best intentions and no intended malice, this app (and others like it) don't usually lead to efficient or productive conversation.

Simply because we're adding to seemingly joint discourses while in reality very few people have the same baseline.

What fucking workload?

When was the last time a Republican successfully introduced, negotiated for, and advanced viable policy? When was the last time a Republican lawyer belonging to a government designed by and built for lawyers tried to write needed legislation for the good of the 99 percent?

If you like a writer's work, tell them! Email, LinkedIn message, DM, even in person at an event. It can make a huge difference in their lives, especially right now with declining freelance budgets, layoffs, stagnant salaries, the threat of AI, and dwindling book advances.

Oh yum! Yeah, we are too lazy for golubtsy, which I miss. Spouse is the only real cook in the family, but his late aunt was the absolute master of homemade golubtsy and it just doesn't seem worth it to work that hard when they're not the same.

We are lucky to have a local Ukrainian/Greek (!) market that actually has some quite good prepared stuff, depending somewhat on one's timing.

Винегрет is my great weakness. I can eat buckets of it. As long as it's not the oily stuff some of the cheaper pre-made kind can be. Fresh homemade is *chefs kiss*

Wow, yum!! I am always bummed that Eastern European food gets a bad rep, because the mushroom use is incredible. I also love beets. So that helps. Last time we were in Moscow it was лисички season. 😍
