A sincere thank you to everyone who has already watched our new video. I am so grateful to be able to do anything creatively, especially weird, niche, long things like this. This project in total took a year and a half to complete, and I am thrilled that many of you enjoyed it.

Very much so. Inevitably, the official clue books they sold are full of party composition info and what pitfalls to avoid in class choice. Could just not have put those pitfalls in.

I'm back to WitchxKnight tonight instead of my many other projects. /shrug
The PC's "Base" is Darkbreaker Hold, built by Sturm Darkbreaker after the first of the Shadow Incursions, the last of the 7 Beacon-Holds still active. The Order's duty is to relight surviving beacons and drive back the dark.

Been thinking on a game idea I had called WITCHxKNIGHT. Every player makes both a Witch and Knight (each w shovelknight level theming) that form an Order and attempt to save the world from carnivorous darkness.

Make appealing mouth noises until they nod and go away. If you make eye contact, find something vaguely left of their head to look at. If they express liking a special interest of yours, -carefully- probe, you do not want to startle them like deer by dropping the mask and unleashing gremlin mode.

Blobbers were so bad at this by the way. They would let you create a TTRPG-like party, and then you find out there's not a single use for a rogue in the entire dungeon, one stat doesn't even work, and you'd have been better off looking up a guide cuz there's only one useful party combination.
No, I 100% agree that computer RPGs these days have too much handholding. I, too, yearn for the days of being able to spend hours crafting my perfect build from hundreds of available options, only to discover that it mathematically cannot survive the mandatory rat fight portion of the first dungeon.

what gets me about genAI as a small indie creator is how desperately I want to get the art of other people into my game, how much I know it would enhance what I'm doing, and how frustrated I feel that I have no money right now to do that
