By the end of Be, the war between Midgrim & the South ends. There was technically about 17 years of what was supposed to be peace between the kingdoms due to a marriage contract, but both sides really used that time to build up their resources.

When I was 15, I begged my mother to make a Dickensian feast for Christmas, including a figgy pudding. The blue flame was really pretty, and somehow I missed all the clues that figgy pudding was a fruitcake. I despise fruitcake.
I ate it. And I never asked for something like that again.
