* Do something else creative (draw, cook, garden, etc)
* Enjoy another story (movies, TV, read a book)
* Create a playlist for the scene & listen to it on repeat
* Read back over what you wrote & see what your characters disagree with

Physical copies are my favorites! I have a soft spot for really pretty hardcovers. I read a lot of ebooks & there are a few webcomics I really enjoy. I like novels, novellas, short stories. I struggle with audiobooks because of my processing disorder, unless it is a story I am very familiar with.

Cordelia in my WIP, Seven Years Love, is not happy with her life at the beginning of the story. There was an accidental curse she cast on the person she loves and she's trying to reverse it with a spell. For years she's been finding the necessary ingredients.

It really depends for Mireia. For big accomplishments, she'll feel the high of triumph in the immediate moment, but it fades quickly & then she gets preoccupied with what she still didn't accomplish, or how she could have done better. With games, though? She'll absolutely gloat,

Fox very much feels like she has never done enough. She has trouble appreciating a win and usually fixates on what went wrong or what still needs to be done.

Av'ry is a bit of a gloater, but always in good fun, he would never actually want to make anyone feel bad about a loss (villains excepted).

Robyn in A Dance of Bow & Blade definitely has a tendency to gloat when she wins at games & competitions. When it comes to her overall goals, such as helping the people in town, taking care of her band of thieves, or healing the land, she tends to feel like she needs to do more.
