Author of the epic fantasy adventure Servants of the Moon and Sun series: an epic fantasy reimagining of Sleeping Beauty. What if Maleficent was Aurora's mother and what if she wasn't really evil?

Along with rewatching Magnificent Century, my other obsession has been the bronze age collapse. The destruction of great civilizations stemming from drought due to climate change? Hmm...wonder why this would interest me now🙄

Well, I looked at the Goodreads Book Choice Awards. I think I've read maybe six of them, and only two stood out to me. I'm sure there's frustration about the nominations (there generally is), so:

What book would you nominate?

#NovemberWorldbuilders Day 15

The largest & most important river in Livoria is the Great Ardei. Almost splitting the realm in two down the center, the capital city Whistlevale was built upon the delta where it meets the Central Sea & serves as a major thoroughfare for transport.

14. Pass on Free Friday. My brain has been toast all week while I've been sick

15. Do you listen to music while you write?
Sometimes I'll find a song that has the vibes of the scene I'm working on and I'll listen to it on repeat as I go. Other times I need silence

15. For this week's prompts, I will talk about the Ale River which flows through Aleton, where the Good Thyme Inn is located.

There's a magical space where, when water goes through, it transforms into ale. The inn was built around that space to control ale distribution.
Welcome to our third week, #NovemberWorldbuilders! This time we're talking about important RIVERS or LAKES in our world! But, tbh, any sufficiently important body of water will do. Also, don't feel obliged to answer; sometimes I cover niche topics that aren't for everyone!

Sabriel by Garth Nix - when I first read this book in 1997, the YA fantasy genre was full of Tolkien-esque world building. In contrast, this lyrical story in which the dead don't stay dead captured my young imagination. It remains a favorite to this day #Bookvember #Booksky
