Cat update: He only ate one of his two usual meals yesterday & ate it very slowly, a few bites at a time. And today he only had three bites of breakfast. So we're taking him in to our usual vet this afternoon for a checkup

At Hero's extremely progressive stances, so if Sebastian can be not just *okay* w/ it but pretty damn supportive I'd say he sets the standard for males in historical *fiction* and we have one maybe two complaints per book from the male MC that are seated in logic and not pure sexist bs.

It's such a turn off when someone writes a period mystery with a progressive female love interests and then have the male MC spend half of his time complaining about how he doesn't agree w/ how progressive she is. Is it more historically accurate? Maybe, but Sebastian St. Cyr rarely bats an eye...
