“You look ill,” Othelia observed glaring down at the young lord. “What has happened to you? You were in good health when we allowed you passage home.”

Tokonus had not been the only one to notice that something was wrong with [redacted]. His appearance wasn’t the only thing off; there was a sound to his voice that the Lukshen could hear as well. A slight delay or echo that Tokonus was sure that no one else would hear.

“No – no I can’t...,” [redacted] mumbled addressing the air above his shoulder. After a muted back and forth, the sickly man turned back to the lord and lady shivering. “Just... just help me. I – I have information. I can... I can help you too, so please, I beg you to help me.”

He had avoided the question and Tokonus’ eyes turned toward Othelia. For a moment she allowed her emotional mask to slip, and it was clear that she was uncomfortable as well. Whatever was wrong with [redacted], it was severe, and he would need treatment if they were to have a productive conversation. More importantly, they needed to consider that he might have been contagious. An unknown pathogen would be far worse than anything that [redacted] or Constance could ever do to them.
