I don't think electing Republicans to the Senate because we decline to support guys who agree with us on 50-80% of stuff is worth losing for because they're independents, when we routinely support guys like this who are labeled Democrats.

In fact, to the extent Jon Tester (I) can just run on his own brand and not force Dems to dilute their brand to make it capacious enough for Indie Tester, it requires a whole lot less principles-shedding.
