Every USN vs PLAN encounter after 2032 is like the USS Masculine Warfighter, Glorious Defender of the Cracker Barrel versus six identical copies of the CNS 我们昨天建了这个 supplied by a ship that does nothing but make birthday cakes for the other ships

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

"Wife mad at you? DEI." is phenomenal work.
Obama: They never miss a chance to scapegoat minorities and D.E.I. For every problem under the sun. You got a flat tire? D.E.I.. Wife mad at you? D.E.I..
Last week (or week before?) the Virginia GOP Lieutenant Governor candidate did a ‘debate’ against an AI version of the Dem candidate. The moderator was also AI.
Now I need a reaction image of a sleestak sitting at a computer

The Cortylorhynchus considers my problems, nods sagely, and says, "have you tried basking in the sun about it? While being as spherical as possible?"

When the dam breaks on these guys - and it will, because they can't control themselves and don't even see why they should - it's going to get really ugly, really fast.
Here’s a disturbing video from Evanston of a federal agent hitting a man on the ground as people yell that he can’t breathe.
The Virginia GOP Lieutenant Governor candidate did a whole debate against an AI version of his Dem opponent 🙃

the vastness and the malevolence of the forces arrayed against basic concepts of community, social order, and a baseline of shared truth. not sure how we allowed this to all just happen

"Tiger Woods is dating Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-wife, who kept Trump as her last name," I say. Forty-thousand bees descend on me instantly, killing me in seconds. That was the magic sentence, it turns out. The relief is immense.

this is the most singularly French "dudes rock" story I have ever read

this guy was 77! and yet no Frenchman may die, apparently, while there is still wine to drink
A French cyclist survived for three days after a horrendous 130-foot fall into a ravine, kept alive by the bottles of red wine he had in his shopping bag, police said.

A helicopter airlifted him to hospital, with a rescue doctor calling his survival "a miracle."

I realized now that its possible that "blue collar" in US cultural imagination is similar to things in foreign media where characters wear "traditionalist" clothing that amalgamates together different periods of time into a homogeneous aesthetic. Its now a "traditional costume" in America like
interesting that people are treating his blue collar aesthetic as equivalent to having a blue collar upbringing
You appear to have taken my skeet to heart as a statement that nothing weirder has ever happened in Christianity, and I am confused by that because I named a specific heresy in the original skeet that I admit still gets the edge on it.
I'm a Donatist, so yes (this is a joke)

We're talking about a group that venerates a real estate developer as chosen of God, elevates a podcaster to the level of Christ, and counts among its top lieutenants a Hindu who talks about Valhalla
I mean, if you have some heresy tachometer readings you could point me to I'm sure I would find them convincing.
what about my phrasing would you have preferred was different? I didn't say it was worse than the specific other weird thing that you happen to know about. I said it was 'one of the most vulgar and brazen heresies ever,' which I stand by
look I'm being a bit facetious, I think we can both agree this is very gross without quibbling over superlatives. It's not like I said there had never been anything worse.
hey they also have that, his name was Charlie Kirk
One of the crazy things about American Christo-fascism is that it is one of the most brazen and vulgar heresies ever conceived of. Like even if the Carpocratians were really hosting church-sponsored orgies and painting icons of Pythagoras they would barely edge these freaks out.
"Charlie's death was not just a murder. The true word for what Charlie did is 'sacrifice.' ...Charlie Kirk died for all of you. And Charlie's sacrifice means that Charlie Kirk will live forever ...for all future generations of Americans."

I'm sorry, are we going full Kirkian Atonement Theory?
