As someone who has spent over 35 years trying to explain that violence is inherent to policing only to have most people be OK with this, I could be excused if I decided to just give up. But I'm not. I knew we would be where we are today. I still think that we do not have to live like this.

My buddy's 15 year DnD group is imploding because a couple of the long time players are defending the ICE murders and everyone else is appalled. This is a red line for normal people in a "get the fuck out and never talk to me again" way. The evil and injustice is instantly recognizable.

i am not kidding i take a weird amount of pride that as long as i can boil some water i can take 5-10 mins and maybe a gallon and a half of water total and have a fine time. big final splash of hot water. it's great!
