I'm not sure if people realize the murder strikes are taking place across a large region. It's quite staggering.

Being a “product of your time” doesn’t mean you’re free to have ignorant and cruel opinions. It means your friends have to put up with it when somebody says they bought a “lump of ham” for Christmas and you spend the rest of the day singing “She’s Lump, she’s Lump, she’s Lump, she’s in my fridge”

getting kids up at the asscrack of dawn is bad for them! we’ve had actual research on this shit! it doesn’t build character, it just means they’re tired and cranky and don’t learn as well
No it's because for some of us it is more convenient to drive our kid to school than to have to get them up at 530 in the morning to be able to make the bus at 615 and then have them sit on the bus for an hour and a half on the way home too. 8 year old should not have a 530am-430pm day
What should I have expected from the hand wringing was website but people who are smothering their kids in the hope that their kid will never ever develop the independent skills to actually leave. If you're going to do this, get a dog, it's less cruel.

As data centers pop up in every corner of the country, their electricity demands are spiking rates for everyone.

But why on Earth should you be covering the electricity bill of a billion-dollar tech giant?

This week, @warren.senate.gov, @blumenthal.senate.gov, & I are asking big tech just that.

Many of the Christmas songs that Miller’s Christian Nationalist pals will be enjoying this season were written by Jewish immigrants who, like Miller’s ancestors, were considered at the time to be unassailable threats to American civilization who should be prevented from becoming Americans.
Stephen Miller's cousin unloads on him:

“We’re Jewish—we grew up knowing how hated we were just for existing. Now he’s trying to take away the exact thing his own family benefited from: that ability to prosper, to build community, to live a rewarding life.”

For the record if you get a kidney transplant, they do not generally take the old ones out, they do indeed just leave them in there and chuck the new one in. this is not exclusive to the British however
Let’s hope that British surgeons don’t apply the same principles. 🤞🏻

humans on average have more than one human skeleton inside of them
Excellent nugget, thank you! So a human on average has less than 2 arms but also more than 2 kidneys. Surely some day this knowledge will come in useful! most likely in a pub conversation

can confirm that fixing this would cost six figures, at a minimum, and just as a general rule if you like visiting old churches please do chuck a quid in their donation box
People complain about using the chemical toilet at church (our main toilet is broken and we can't afford the extremely expensive archeology required to fix it), and I'm like... Some volunteers will have to lug this across the city to empty and clean it. We are doing our best. Stop complaining.

28 Democrats voted yes on a bill that motherfucking TED CRUZ voted no on. It could not have passed without those 28 so check the list and if one of your senators is on it don't forget to write or call to tell them they're a bigot and a quisling and worse. Than. TED. FUCKING. CRUZ.
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

I just don't understand this at all. Why? What is the benefit or point of faking a miniature? Faking a painted miniature? The point of the mini is the physical toy. The point of the paintjob is the care and effort that went into painting it.

This is like bragging about an AI girlfriend! Not real!
