I named my fists Monty and Python because I'm about to tappa-tap-tap your coconut in a manner simulating the sound of a horse's trot.
I named my fists Common and Sense because I'm about to bring the Paine

every trans person i see post about the OU suspension knows that the suspended target is trans & a grad student, & has an innate awareness that this is about purging trans employees. every cis person i see thinks the target is a rando professor & that this is about giving conservatives good grades

Bam! It’s official: no Angoulême comics festival in 2026. And the future is clouded after that.

What a huge and avoidable mess.

Everyone is getting upset about the data centers. They pollute a lot and use a lot of energy and will eventually be very ugly/huge vacant buildings. And I understand being mad about that. Until you consider the state of the lazer tag industry at this moment, and how much help that sector needs.

The thing about getting a bigger, more urgent problem is that it doesn't actually make the original problem go away, it just hides it again.
here's my take on Woke 2. the thing about Woke 1 is that it's born from the end of history era, when it was important to re-discover forms of oppression that had been denied or hidden. but this led to a [clears throat] hermeneutics of suscpicion, and ultimately paranoia and internecine factionalism

I named my fists NIER GESTALT and UNDERTALE because by participating in violence I become the monster
I named my fists DUNGEONS and DRAGONS because there are many other fists, most of which are more suitable for whatever you want them to do.
I named my fists Master and Commander, because together they’re gonna send you to the far side of the world.

Yeah being a prick is a sacrament to these ppl
These kids are a dime a dozen, they grew up in sheltered families watching God’s Not Dead and start shit no matter how much it derails class, with flimsy, memorized arguments.

They have a dogma they’re not going to abandon, and they use class as an opportunity to proselytize to a captive audience.

Comics writers and artists — please request your favorite colorists and letterers when working on a new project with a publisher. Can’t hurt to ask. (And if you don’t really care who letters/colors your work…that’s disappointing on a lot of levels.)

The "campus free speech types are hypocrites" line of commentary is very well-worn, so I won't belabor the point much further. But it feels worth noting that *unions* are the organizations actually fighting for freedom of speech on many college campuses...

the primary thing that TPUSA provides to young conservatives is a blueprint for weaponizing the abject cowardice of university administrators against individual teachers and instructors, and university admins should take a long look in the mirror and think about what that says about them
