The history of pre-lockout (and some post-lockout) NHL owners is absolutely bananas, and the Sabres were somehow awesome when they were owned by a fraudster compared to one of the richest men in North America!

the sabres were an extremely consistent team for 40 fucking years. and that included the 2000s (when the team was literally bankrupt and couldn’t find an owner. it won the presidents trophy under these conditions!!!!)

The tragedy of the Buffalo Sabres is not explored enough because it's hockey but this somehow understates how hopeless that situation has become and it's depressing. Buffalo is an elite hockey market! Those games would be insane if they were ever good!

I'm rooting for him. Just got blocked by being in the Panthers system at the wrong time but he has the possibility to become an extremely annoying (complimentary) middle six winger and those are invaluable in modern hockey.

This is the first time all season I've seen the Jaguars just straight up get beat in all three phases of the game. Offensive line has been great for five games but has been garbage today. It was due at some point.
