Anyone who can’t picture Peter Thiel as *that fucking guy* in philosophy class needs more time in humanities classes! The point is a well-rounded education helps you become a well-rounded human who can handle multiple points-of-view, not that it’s a silver bullet against TFG.

Also, it’s probably my born-in-the mid-80s perspective, but I’m not casually getting blood on me? Like one hopes they’ve had all the STI tests but blood-borne illnesses are a thing, and you don’t just fuck around that so someone doesn’t need to work out meds?

As an example: AI doesn't understand "no." Because the statements "no ketchup on my burger" and "ketchup on my burger" are almost identical to a machine that does not and cannot actually reason. It's only a 2 letter difference.

This reminds me of those plaintive “my bf/husband hasn’t brushed his teeth in years and he says I have to stop being grossed out” people—medical issues happen, and maybe there’s no fault. But you do not have to put your mouth on anyone who makes you retch? They gotta figure that out!

This reminds me of how David Lynch said he wanted to keep working but couldn’t because COVID posed too great a risk & people stopped being willing to mask up to protect others.

I think it does, but it’s angry. My mobility is angry to get out. But it’s not happened yet. I do a certain amount of physical therapy. I did a whole bunch of it at Cedars-Sinai, and I got very close, I think, to walking. That was tantalizing. For insurance reasons, I had to withdraw. And I have a visiting physical therapist now, but I can only really do exercises from my bed, which is pretty pathetic. It’s not going to get me walking, I don’t believe.

Wear a mask when you’re sick! Because as much as people who’s politics mostly align with mine want to believe that Covid is over, it isn’t. Declaring it over for the economy when we had proof of the long term chronic effects was Biden doing eugenics, which paved the way for now.

This is a really, really good act of protest that uses a protest language that has a chance of reaching people who would otherwise dismiss the issue. You can tell by how many former Catholics are seeing it here and having like entire full-body shudders despite having left the church decades ago.
