"So, regarding these leaks. They could be fake, could be genuinely overheard conversations [...]"

This is typical of Russian propaganda: "It could be this, it could be that, who knows?" the goal of which is epistemological uncertainty and eventually, nihilism.
Putin also tried to comment on the scandal involving Witkoff, but after he started telling a joke, the old man seemed to forget what he wanted to say.

"The 28-point peace plan that the United States and Russia want to impose on Ukraine and Europe is misnamed. It is not a peace plan. . .Awkward wording, evident throughout the document, suggests that at least some of it was originally written in Russian."-- @anneapplebaum.bsky.social

Today is Holodomor Remembrance Day. In a world where moral intuition often seems to have been lost, this is a good occasion to remind ourselves that starving people to death is evil.
The Holodomor was a series of artificial famines by the soviet regime in 1921–1923, 1932–1933, and 1946–1947. The most devastating (1932–1933) was a genocide of Ukrainians, taking millions of lives.

Remember those who died of hunger on their own land.
Remember those responsible for it.

Thank you—this is indeed a good “back to Kant” moment for all of us.
I think it was @marcishore.bsky.social's book The Ukrainian Night which first showed me how Euromaidan was about the Kantian sense of dignity, that "that which does not have a price, which cannot be bought or sold."

Ever since reading that book, I see it as the best case path for the US as well.

America is down, but is it out? Normalization of politics in abnormal times has unsettling historical parallels. Ukraine resists tyranny, but in the US there's a drift away from rule of law to "impunity, humiliation, and political violence." @marcishore.bsky.social - youtu.be/28KnYrBIHuE

Italian Senator Carlo Calenda left Jeffrey Sachs literally speechless and shocked by calling him a liar and someone who repeats Russian propaganda narratives.
