I've only read the NYT summary so far but my reaction is that Wiles has not turned on Trump at all, she's just a rare smart-ish/establishment type trying to explain why she supports him and didn't realize that certain quotes given over many months could be pulled out to sound like criticisms
I legit don’t understand why Wiles gave those interviews

It's a movie about a man who receives thousands of letters, has amazing gifts, is constantly surrounded by snow and who always knows if you've been naughty or nice - which is why I wish to go on the record to say that 'The Dead Zone' is, in fact, a Christmas film.

Imagine being a jaded soundtrack producer, who knows this score backwards and forwards, and suddenly hearing multiple takes with John Williams and the @londonsymphony.bsky.social performing a cue you didn't even know existed. It was magical, one of the best moments of my professional life.

Superman: The Movie opened 47 years ago today. In 2018 I had the privilege of assisting Mike Matessino (as if he even needs my help) on a reissue of the score. The original 2" scoring masters were located, which would require an all new mix and master (Mike worked on two previous reissues).

One way that the reaction to Rob Reiner's murder mirrors Charlie Kirk's is that the best way to eulogize each of them is to quote their words, and in both cases, doing so pisses off conservatives.
Rob Reiner: “Silence in the face of authoritarianism is complicity. Speaking out is a patriotic act. Democracy doesn’t defend itself. It requires participation, vigilance, and courage from ordinary people."

THREAD 🧵
As the Trump administration gutted USAID this year, officials, including Marco Rubio, said over and over that lifesaving operations would continue around the world and that nobody had died because of the cuts.

Shocked by the awful death of Rob Reiner. I spoke with him for over an hour last night. We talked about his work and his plans for the future. I always enjoyed his company. We met at his Dad's in 1975. Last thing he said to me was "See you next year.." Such a terrible end. Such a sweet man.

I only needed to read the headline to know @sulliview.bsky.social was dead on. When she called the coverage of Trump “stenography” I said to myself “yep.” And I applauded when she outlined 3 changes on how to respond to Trump.

Follow them please, journalists.

Yes I drove 2 hours into Dirty Jersey to meet a handful of actors. Yes I met Rachael Leigh Cook again. Yes she said “Oh my god, I haven’t thought of this in forever!” and then proceeds to describe in exacting detail how the film was shot on leftover film stock from Spielberg’s Amistad

Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

They are literally begging regular people to come back. Don't do it! It is a website by and for actual Nazis!
