Chelsea and very socially liberal politics, so basically you'll get angry at something.
The dream of "Italy: 2026 Grand Slam Winners"* is fading by the minute in #TheRugby 😞

*lit: me making that joke once a day until Italy play England or France

There's basically two sane opinions about Blusky. They are:

1) Oh yay! We've somewhat brought back old twitter before Elon broke it

2) Oh no! We've somewhat brought back old twitter before Elon broke it

Nice surprise for Mrs P. She lost the diamond at Xmas. We somehow found it and it's took 6 weeks to get it reset and about £250. Funny looks in the restaurant wheen I asked if she'd stay married to me and gave her a ring.

When you read something like this you also know that this was a game without the 'Chairman's Gates' where the numbers through the turnstiles wasn't recorded but the money was pocketed by the club owner...
Every Wikipedia article ever about a stadium: "The current capacity is 25,000. Its record crowd was 68,351 in 1963 for a semi-final between..."

Valentine's day through the generations...

My son and his new girlfriend: sharing romantic gifts and planning a day of activities.

Me and my wife after 20 years of marriage: going to buy drain unblocker after partially flooding the bathroom.

Anyone who donates to Tiny Tommy's Dubai Relocation Fund should immediately have a 9% income tax and wealth tax put on them. Sensible policies for a happy Britain.

Cleaning the bathroom and have to shut the door so the cat doesn't try to taste the new smells and now I'm high as a kite. The little window in there does nothing.

I was going to scoff that any sensible company would call something they were building 'Megatron' but a) it's AI, it's full of bellends and b) a former manufacturer of very high quality light meters went by the name Megatron, but they pre-dated the cartoon by some years.

Anyway, good morning to all the Real Ones up early on a Saturday to listen to/watch Ireland v Oman in #TheCricket men's T20 world cup. A game that is, to all intents and purposes, a dead rubber yet somehow saw Ireland absolutely throwing the bat at it to score 235 and have Oman at 116-8

This is what happens when a government agency that has important functions is considered an easy target for any departmental cuts for the best part of 20 years because nobody notices what it does until it reaches the point that everybody notices what they don't.
A woodland at Passingford Bridge, Epping severed by M25 becomes deep illegal toxic landfill. Local resident dials 999, but entry to lorries not blocked. Basic duty of Environment Agency not happening again

Lord of the Rings and the Spider-Man trilogy both rule, because we took some absolute freak horror directors, gave them infinite budgets and never-before-seen CGI tech, and told them to make an all-quadrant family blockbuster based on the most beloved characters of the 20th century.
Whenever I rewatch the original Spider-Man movie I remember how much parts of it scared me, especially the Green Goblin jumpscares, and how it might have been my first exposure to this style of horror filmmaking, that combo of intensity and camp that I came to love Raimi for

There isn't a single historical event aside (arguably) genocide that wouldn't be improved by a Butterfield-style voice over.

The Franco-Prussian War for example.

“Then, after Sedan, it’s time for a reward. 10th May 1871 is Treaty Day.”

You may laugh, but the Macbeths are a much better role model for a marriage than Romeo and Juliet. They discuss their problems (killing the king of Scotland), share their hobbies (killing the king of Scotland), and resolve their conflicts (by killing the king of Scotland).

Went to see that well-known romantic Shakespearean tragedy about two star-crossed lovers.

Macbeth.
This is an unapologetically sappy feel-good subject (at least, I guess, for people in a happy relationship”). So, to prepare for Valentine’s Day, what did you and your partner do for a first date?

My wife and I went to tea at Huntington Gardens and walked around.
On our first date, my spouse and I spent like an hour talking about footnotes.

English #TheFootball is in a weird place where management recruitment is based on selling a vision of play style and a process and other nonsense whilst at the same time it is agreed that you can now only score goals by surrounding the opposing goalkeeper with 2 meter tall man mountains at corners.

New voice on TMS in Michael Carberry. As I thought he was treated disgracefully by England pleased to hear him; needs a bit of training to cut down the "for me, that's..." but aside from that Simon Mann and him just enjoying talking about cricket is nice.
