Chelsea and very socially liberal politics, so basically you'll get angry at something.

CS degrees. Do them if you genuinely are interested in proper theoretical stuff about Turing machines (and if you are, amazing). If you want to learn to code for career reasons, do physics. You’ll learn Python and get to write your dissertation on exploding stars.

I had weeks of YouTube serving me the 'Martin Lewis/Piers Morgan/Lewis Hamilton/Daniel Craig explains this Government scheme with 20x returns' ads but because I watch through a device the only option was to block the ad*, not to report it as a scam.

*after it had finished playing(!)
I was just fed an advert on Facebook for a mobile signal booster which is illegal to operate in the UK. So like a good netizen I went to "Report this video" and there are no usable options. Giving the *appearance* of responsibility while not actually *being* responsible is how Facebook makes money.

Keeping half an eye on youtube: it was an exceptional free kick, hardly any runup or backlift but hit hard with pinpoint accuracy.

Also it is extremely West Ham that despite being a PL club with a stadium we paid for, this U18 match looks like it's being played on a municipal rec. #TheFootball
GOAL, 2-0 Chelsea, Reggie Watson scores with a beautiful and trademark free kick. (43)

Not sure why I'm being asked to read a newspaper from 1955, but OK.

Wait, what?
Again, I would advise people to go read the media from 50 years ago. Sure, there was absolutely an awkward stiffness that the death of deference got rid of and I prefer it but they talked to you like adults in a way that very few newspapers do today.
I don't think it's all of it by any measure but I do absolutely believe that the political media's raging anti-intellectual streak has got worse with time and has ended up influencing the way MPs talk, and what they choose to talk/think about

Come on Josh. Feel a lover's gentle caress first, THEN worry about maxing out your Cash ISA allowance. That should give you 15, maybe 20 years to prepare.
Josh Hall, 20, is 'worried' about how the cash ISA allowance cut announced in Wednesday’s Budget will affect his long-term savings plans

Every time I see one of these stories about the HPV vaccine I remember that in the UK in the mid 90s one of the most used arguments against it was that 'it would encourage teenage girls to have sex'.
A *huge* vaccine victory. I've been writing on this for years; Australia has seen remarkable progress in cervical cancer prevention with the HPV vaccine. I love seeing science triumph like this.
Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Viruses can be oncogenic. Get your vaccines and protect yourself!
