This is really important. Johnny Thunders played a Les Paul Jr. Considered a junk guitar back then, you could pick one up cheap (I know because I bought one at a pawn shop eons ago). Czech photographer Miroslav Tichý built his own cameras from tin cans and cardboard. You don't need much to create.

Thanks to Brian Lindenmuth for a link to this Joe Bob Briggs video. It's called "Keep Rolling" and it's about just that. Stop talking about making your movie. Shut up and make it. But the video is more than that. Brigg's advice covers all art. Stop talking about your novel, play, painting, song, or whatever and do the damn thing. You might suck at first, but sucking at something is the first step toward getting good at something. Task a risk. Commit yourself. We always need good art, now more than ever. Do the work. You might surprise yourself and come up with something great. And if you don't, try again. And again. I published three novels and several non-fiction books before Sandman Slim, and all of them tanked. I decided that Sandman Slim was going to be my last shot at writing books. If it didn't sell, I was going to quit. But it did sell. And it's still selling. Around the world. And there's going to be a movie. Don't give up. Take your shot. The universe is going to be around for trillions of years, which means you're going to be dead a lot longer than you were alive. Use that time to follow your passion. And good luck.
