Working remotely for SUSE in Nürnberg, Germany in Nov, 2009, I traveled there for some on-site time. I flew into Frankfurt, took a train to Nürnberg, and then saw on TV the bash going on in Berlin to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Wall's fall.

Wow, did I ever fuck up my travel planning!

Nah. I was 2.5 years old and don't remember this directly--only through my dad's retelling.

Apparently, my dad tried to corral me to watch Apollo 11 land (he’d met Neil Armstrong years earlier), but I wanted to go outside and play in the yard—basically running in circles and yelling a lot.

As I was working to define the software manifest for Amazon Linux 2023 at AWS, I removed 'cowsay'.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth was immediate; the change was rejected udderly.
