I understand why people stay on services that suck but not Spotify. There’s so many other platforms that are 1-to-1 the same but with less garbage if not objectively better.

One thing I noticed is that people only support creatives when they're independent. When folks like VAs and game developers fight for unionization at major studios, they're seen as "greedy" or are "corporate bootlickers."

My wife has been HIV+ for 34 years. Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.
