Everybody left of Clinton got mad that the Dems ran on "the economy is fine and Trump is bad" and now they are mad that Chuck wants to listen to them and run on the economy could be better and stop talking about Trump.
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.
Zero Chucks Left to Give
Chuck Schumer now sees a path back to the majority. Can he manage his way through it?

A) you aren’t going to change Schumer’s mind either

B) Unless you live in NY state he doesn’t represent you. The Senate Minority Leader doesn’t represent all democrats, he represents his caucus

It's a costly signal of fealty, common to many abusive movements and groups. It permanently marks them out in ways that will make adjusting to life outside harder.

There *are* male equivalents in terms of extreme roid use and pro-MAGA tats, but this clearly falls most heavily on MAGA women by far.
This aspect of MAGA women is truly dumbfounding. Bizarre as hell.

It is genuinely remarkable how much worse most of them look compared to their old selves. Fucking self-mummification.
They've changed their faces to please the patriarchy. It's not about what types of women those patriarchal men personally prefer; it's about showing those men that they are willing to submit. And it's a specific kind of look. It shows their willingness to be controlled.

I can’t believe how lucky we got that the threat of being unable to distinguish between real photos/videos and AI generated ones not actually coming to pass is purely due to the lack of taste among those creating and encouraging the latter.

Stewart has been a hack for years and in tired of pretending otherwise
NEW: This week, Daily Show host Jon Stewart introduced his audience to Jenin Younes, describing her as a courageous civil rights attorney who had been canceled by both the right and left and therefore “must be doing something right.”

Really, she spent years undermining public health—and Democrats.

"this is not who we are" is 90% of the time a normative statement of aspiration, it's not an empirical claim of "these events have never taken place in this country before". one of the most obnoxious genres of "actually..." is reacting like it's the latter when it's clearly the former.

🚨BREAKING: DEMS DRAW RED LINE IN DHS APPROPS: NO FUNDING INCREASE FOR ICE. POLICY RIDERS GROWING. STORY COMING IN MIGRANT INSIDER
🚨NEWS: Senate Dems are reportedly offering ICE funding increases in exchange for body cams and de-escalation training for agents.

Body cams can be turned off. De-escalation training can be ignored.

Unclear if no masks, requiring ID badges, and no immunity is on the table.

If you want better policy, elect more Democrats. Every race, every year, every place. This dumbass solution is the only one that works.

The advanced version is "also, elect better Dems whenever you can". It requires holding two ideas in your head at the same time so many struggle with it
The VA senate got to these today, and all passed as expected

Abortion rights: 21-18
Post-incarceration voting rights: 21-18
Gay marriage: 26-13
Redistricting: 21-18

April 21st is the first eligible Tuesday, so that’s my guess for referendum EDay
the four VA constitutional amendments passed the HoD

Abortion rights: 64-34
Post-incarceration voting rights: 65-33
Gay marriage: 67-31
Redistricting: 62-33-1

Think the earliest referendum Election Day would be April 21, so early voting would start in early March
