this take is likely gonna move across state lines, if not further. tragic level of theft here. please spread as far and wide as you can. GameCenter is as stand-up an arcade preservation group as they come and deserve comeuppance here.
KIRO 7 ran an article and two TV pieces on the theft of a box truck full of arcade PCBs, artwork, and machines from my workplace yesterday. If anyone in the Seattle area sees someone offloading a ton of CPS2/NAOMI/Neo Geo PCBs, stuff of that nature, please reach out.

NEW: the new game Dispatch is a huge hit (1 million copies!). But few people know how close it came to never existing.

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Other folks have said it, but let me just note that:

(1) lots of talented, must-read journalists have been let go from their jobs over the last year

(2) millions of Americans are abandoning current media outlets and looking for new alternatives

Seems like a sure-fire business opportunity here?

You know how the existence of cars and power tools makes it necessary to have “exercise” and “manual crafts” as a deliberately chosen part of a balanced life?

We’re probably going to need something like that cognitively, for adults.

Gavin Newsom just said the quiet part out loud:

“All this anti-woke stuff is just anti-Black. Period. Full stop.”

And he’s right. “Anti-woke” was never about ideas, it was a marketing campaign to sanitize racism, roll back progress, and make bigotry sound intellectual.

There are going to be a LOT of people in thrift shops this year.
And in food banks.
And at holiday soup kitchens.

For the love of CHRIST - now that someone's brought this to your attention, please go through your stuff - for kids *and* for grown-ups - and for once, give some GOOD stuff away.

I really think that we need to talk more about the fact that Republicans have basically quietly abolished the House of Representatives

I wonder if there is honest discussion happening in journalism schools across the country and around the world about the general failure of the elite corporate media covering US govt and political affairs.
it’s wild that this is just sort of the most openly corrupt administration of all time and they’re just allowed to do that and most media doesn’t say a word about it

But tests by The Post on eight major social platforms found that only one of them added a warning to an uploaded AI video.
