Remember the GOP outrage when an Obama program made small investments in new green tech. Solyndra was a GOP battle cry against the govt “picking winners”. Wow, how low they’ve sunk.

If I recall correctly Solyndra was a relative tiny investment and the overall program was actually net positive.

For eg, customized dynamic product placement, instant dubbing into 100s of languages, post production sound design musical scores synced with plot, set design, etc. The vast majority of content will still suck, but such tools in the hands of millions of content creators will change everything.

The article is good and I appreciate your points - but the content YT’s growing into seems to be scripted entertainment rather than news informing viewers. The article missed the biggest point: how YouTube will certainly enable creators to use AI to enhance/cheapen production.

Plus, FAUCI DID NOT SAY THAT VACCINATED PEOPLE CANNOT GET COVID! We can't continue to let the media allow repeating this lie. No scientist would EVER say that. Biden made a sloppy statement once, but Fauci only talked about how the virus would be less symptomatic in vaccinated people.

The interjection from the other host: "Some things are good, some things are bad" was almost as bad as the idiocies spouted by Hines. RFK's obsession with exercise is not real policy, just ideas. His actual policies - vaccine disinfo - are bordering on murderous. So no, RFK has nothing good at all!

Nhanes has been key for tracking obesity & diabetes rates, identifying high blood lead levels in kids in the 70s, tracking progress on cholesterol lowering, guiding nutrient fortification programs etc

Sadly it’s peers & genetic traits (eg predisposition to group-based hierarchies, low openness to new experiences, low empathy, etc) that have the biggest influence - not causal but probabilistic. And the giant permission structure enabled now that overt racists have power.
