Since our fucking government isn’t observing World AIDS Day, I will. In 1990, I started taking care of people in the last stages of AIDS in their homes. I did this for nearly two years. The home care company I worked for had meetings for those of us who solely (or nearly solely) took care of PWAs.

Broadly speaking this is a good yardstick for that criticism on almost any subject
more to the point: "this doesn't do anything" / "this is performative (derogatory)" is a criticism of land acknowledgements I find compelling from people actively engaged in reparations projects and pretty much no else

A friend put this movie on right before Halloween and it absolutely slaps. A solid cast that is fully committed to the bit and a hilarious script.

It seems like these videos have a literal dream like quality. Based on all of human history I’m sure this will work out well and not be the machine equivalent of huffing poison gases from a fissure.
