Allocated without Congressional approval in order to prop up an autocrat. And just after we snatched back every dollar going to starving and sick children globally.

We are the shithole nation.

The novelisation is a missed opportunity and a lost art form, poached from us by capitalists.

We still know the stories of Robin Hood and King Arthur because of novelisations. Peter Pan & Hitchhiker were novelisations. They should be a thing all writers can enjoy doing, knowing it's a real art form

Qatar gave Trump a $400M jet. Trump gave them a military facility on US soil.

The UAE bought $2B of Trump's stablecoin. Trump gave them access to rare AI chips.

Saudi Arabia invested $2B in Kushner's firm. Trump sold them $142B in arms.

If this isn't corruption, what is?

Trump at the Charlie Kirk memorial event: "They fired sniper rifles at ICE agents, and me. But I made a turn at a good time. I made a turn at a good time. Charlie couldn't believe it, actually."

Thought I was fucking losing it then. Turned over to ITV1 and they're showing The Dark Knight again, the second time in three nights. It's a great film but come on, play the game. No wonder broadcast television's on its arse.

🎶You do it to yourself, just you, you and no-one else🎶
The scene from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where Indy gets chased by a boulder, but Indy is now a shirtless and shocked Alex Jones of Infowar infamy, who's gripping a big tub of the supplements he shills while attempting to outrun his own massive face. I don't fancy his chances.

That's incredible! I hope you enjoy Blade Runner - if you do, then seek out the Final Cut. It's the best version, imho.

People being performatively outraged/neurotic/judgmental about things other people do that don't affect them in any way has got out of hand in the social media era, I think.

One of the posts that got me flamed back in the old place was when I said I didn’t fetishise books as objects and wasn’t bothered if their owners wanted to rip them in half to make their baggage lighter or chuck them in the recycling once they’ve read them or whatever. Some people went ballistic
nick-pettigrew.bsky.social
The veneration of Books As Objects misses the point entirely. If you're reading a book, turn the corners down, break the spine, spill soup on it. It's your book, go nuts. A pristine, unread book is a tragedy in a way that a beloved, much-read book that looks like the dog's been at it could never be.
