Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

VILE's subject matter is unsettling (it's a horror game) and uncomfortable (it's about objectification, parasocial relationships, stalking, and worse) but the actual CONTENT of the game is PG13.
There's a growing number of games that have apparently fallen foul of Steam's 'No because we say so' rule that are still being happily sold on other major storefronts like GOG.
Also recently DreadXP-published game Vile was outright rejected by Steam too, despite containing *nothing* objectionable.

VILE's subject matter is unsettling (it's a horror game) and uncomfortable (it's about objectification, parasocial relationships, stalking, and worse) but the actual CONTENT of the game is PG13.

My advice, as a former call center supervisor, is to fish for ways to escalate your call to a supervisor. Upper management HATES when the supe call cue is long. We used to be in perpetual callback hell back where I worked and they constantly devoted extra resources to combating it.
Spoke to my source familiar with internal workings at Mastercard. The holiday call campaign re payment processor censorship is working, there is a lot of pressure being felt from your calls. This is resulting in increased response times at a core moment for Mastercard due to the holiday season

The lines are getting clogged from calls and Mastercard is feeling very pressured, they're looking into how to act in response. They're collecting information on callers to have a better understanding of who is calling in re the censorship issue

Not gonna lie, somedays the only thing that motivates me is feeling useful to others. It can get bad, to a point of self harm (like neglecting myself; lack of sleep, bad food)
