Rewarded Sword Of The Stranger and it really is one of the great samurai movies. It really treats animation as cinematic. Despite it being a simple story it feels epic and satisfying.

If I don't want to see the movies that are coming out, and other people also don't want to see the movies coming out, then maybe other people actually DO want to see the movies I wish would come out instead, and we're all just stuck in this boring slump together, waiting for gatekeepers to get it.

We could have been talking about art and stories and the things students like or respond to, but instead we have to devote all this time and oxygen toward sussing out how to get students to engage with material again. It’s stealing all our time while also stealing all our art and labor.

One personally frustrating thing about the big AI push is that it forces people to assess it in a hurry, which makes people careless. It kinda smells like a scam to me if someone’s hurrying you along, cultivating urgency in you, well before you know where they’re taking you.

Remember when Pixar designed their studio with the bathroom at the center to encourage “collisions” between people in creative and technical departments? Can you imagine a company being so human focused anymore? Talent focused?

This is about me getting a little defense over the Tarantino Hunger Games thing. But its really about how I had that exact opinion about Hunger Games when it first came out. I even read it to be sure. I don't really care about HG so what does it matter... oh well. Internet.
