Here’s an email exchange I had with Glen Wooten, the person in charge of SDCC’s Art Show. The previous language has been in place for a couple of years & was a compromise between himself & the higher ups. This whole ruckus convinced them that they needed more forceful language, so that’s great.

I have been playing this game since 1993(?). How TF do you get Yoshi in your item box?! I always just have to go back to the Donut Secret or Star Road to get a new one whenever I dump my old one off a cliff or platform.
Using a combination of glitches in Super Mario World, Yoshi can be taken into the final battle, where he can eat Peach upon Bowser's defeat. With Peach gone, the ending will not play, and Mario and Yoshi will simply stare at each other forever.

I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

I read the rules, and AI art cannot be for sale and must be labeled AI. But once you let it in the Art Show becomes an AI bar and no artist will drink there. So what you said. They are testing the waters so we gotta fight it now.

The worst part about ths is that SDCC basically sets the template for every other con in the U.S. If they start allowing GenAI in, even in a limited capacity like this, that signals to other cons that it must be the norm now and it opens the floodgates. Email [email protected]
