Guillermo del Toro and Netflix have announced plans to form a new stop motion studio that will be both a studio and a school to push the medium forward and will develop plans to make Del Toro's next stop motion project after Pinocchio. I'm very hyped to see what this leads to!

You’d think, but there’s a lot of play depending on the angle you cut.

It’s October so it’s time for my annual rant about Frankenstein’s monster in film.
He’s not supposed to have a cylindrical head. The flat top is meant to indicate where his skull cap was lopped off to insert the brain and then covered with a metal plate.

Sci-fi sketchbook characters and misc designs. India ink and watercolor.
Of note: head designs for an older woman with a thin, lined face and purple and pink mohawk. A squat, stubby winged vehicle that resembles some sort of bottom dwelling prehistoric fish, a human-shaped robot with a single lens eye, a 4-wheeled all terrain dune buggy with closed cockpit and baggage and supplies strapped on top.

It feels like I just reached the end of the prologue.

Please come visit Portland. It’s a beautiful, eclectic city with absolutely phenomenal food. You can also get some damn great cocktails. People are nice. You can get just about anywhere on public transportation. If you time it right you can watch naked people ride bicycles.

Trump: "Portland, I mean -- every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -- there are very few of them left -- but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up."

Thank you. When doing a superhero book like this there aren’t a lot of opportunities to play with appearances but it makes sense that Kory would play around with hairstyles and that’s fun.

Page in progress.

I’m pretty happy with how Titans 29 is turning out. I always aspire to make each issue better than the last.
