Making an adult decision and going to go to the gym instead of festering in my room. It's far too wet to go for a walk, but i also need to get moving or my sunday scaries will take over, so just some light cardio on the treadmill.

One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older is that if the ball is in someone else’s court, you just have to wait and see what they do with it. If you run over and pick it up for them, you’re just playing by yourself and you’ll never know if they can actually keep up with you.

The thing about being an US born person of immigrant extraction who has also lived in a couple of other countries and traveled to a bunch more is... I can be both very clear eyed in the way the US sucks while also being aware of how other countries use the USA's failings to distract from their own.
