The way he rubs his inhumanity in Americans” face never ceases to stun me.

He’s illegally refusing to pay food stamp benefits…

…while he throws a ridiculously over the top Gatsby party for his right wing millionaire and corporate friends.

Nothing like holding a gilded Gatsby party while killing the food lifeline for 40 million people.

Lmao literally having a "we're rich" party while they cut SNAP is like cartoon level evil it's like the villain in a Dr. Seuss book

In Portland trick or treater night we had one kid have us scan a QR code for the portland food bank (which I have already donated to) and another dressed as a pangolin and inform me they are the most trafficked animal

Nancy Mace is one of those people who is deeply miserable yet not as miserable as she deserves.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who is running for governor of her state, berated the police and TSA officials at Charleston International Airport, according to a report.

“She repeatedly stated [officials] were ‘F------ Incompetent,’” the report said.

I was pretty upset to learn about this. I think this was a poor decision and it threatens to set us back. We need people like Director Hisserich to help us chart a path out of our high cost housing system, and actually build something that working class folks can afford. 🚩
Shake-up at the Portland Housing Bureau: Mayor Wilson put director Helmi Hisserich, an "unparalleled expert" on social housing, on leave with little explanation Thursday. She has been in the role since early 2024.

They always manage to figure out a way to blame women of color who are on their side.
Do they not realize that pricing landlords out of feasibly being able to rent to ICE would accomplish the same as shutting down the ICE facility?

If they don’t, then woof, that’s dumb. If they do, then WOOF, THAT’S DUMB.
Ideological purity or LITERALLY NOTHING for these people 🙄

✍️ Submit written testimony in support of the Detention Facility Impact Fee at the link below.

There will be a public hearing at Portland City Council on the evening of Nov. 5.

At this point I’m fairly sure these people are feds. One city councilor can’t be expected to take on the entire federal government, especially when the facility in question is at the center of multiple lawsuits, has been visited by a Cabinet member, and has attention from POTUS.

genuinely seems like this administration is hell bent on radicalizing normal people against them in a truly unprecedented manner

Academics’ and planners’ single-minded focus on making *brand new* homes affordable to the poorest people has been a disaster for poor people’s’ ability to afford housing.

So there were some AI-generated videos that purported to show Black women ranting about SNAP benefits, and... Fox News is reporting on this like these are real people. They're not! They're AI!

This is truly insane. Total unreality. www.foxnews.com/media/snap-b...

if the other side is building barracks and rounding up the homeless, we need to do better by building housing and refuse to make enemies of our homeless neighbors.

portland should show what a housing first approach can do without the cruelty of sweeps.
I oppose the resumption of sweeps beginning tomorrow. They are costly, ineffective and cruel. At a time when our Federal government is literally starving our most vulnerable neighbors, we add to that by violently taking from them what little they have? My statement attached.

1. The commercial was done by Ontario, not Canada itself, which is run by someone in the opposing party to Carney. He had nothing to do with it.
2. Commercial was not "false." It was entirely accurate.
3. Reagan hated tariffs.

Stop just letting him lie constantly.
Trump on Mark Carney: "He apologized for what they did with the commercial. Because it was a false commercial. It was the exact opposite. Ronald Reagan loved tariffs. And he did apologize."

That a federal judge had to block the Trump administration from pushing millions of Americans into hunger says everything about this President and the party he leads.

Grateful to our Attorney General for being on the frontlines of this fight.
In a major victory, a court ruled the Trump administration must use emergency funds to provide food stamps to Americans.

No one should choose between paying bills and buying groceries.

We'll continue our lawsuit to fight for our families and the services they deserve.

Saying this was considered so beyond-the-pale overtly racist it made Enoch Powell a pariah in the woke cancel culture of 1960s Britain.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do
