Of course they did. Between the Woolsey Fire and the Thomas Fire, their exposure was probably considerable.

They're right up with PG&E in my book in doing their damnedest to make ratepayers shoulder the burdens of their bad decisions.

Also, the DTSC/SSFL report after Woolsey, definitely suspect.

For anyone who knows the North Coast, Chavez Market in Ukiah has comals for less than 15 bucks, in flour and corn tortilla sizes.

They also have some of the best fresh chicharron, like extra crispy pork belly at 10.99 a lb.

Does this rate hike come with proper penalties for PSPS incidents, no-fault payouts for lost perishables to the tune of $5k/household, immediate dismissal of the C-Suite if another fire starts from their neglect, full-fault legal and monetary sanctions in the event of damage or death?

weratedogs This is Chop. He was shot and killed by masked assailants in plain clothes who go by ICE.
Unsurprisingly, they did not care enough to help the family as they tried to save him. Even more unsurprising, they did not find any evidence of the migrants they were there to terrorize in the first place.

When bad weather means roads closed for weeks, months, or longer.

It's not bad by any means, but the reality isn't idyllic either. There are different steps to take, different things to be aware of.

As we all know I'm a fan of rural placemaking but I sure am tired of books romanticizing the rural existence and suggesting all we need to fix the planet is to just go back to small communities where we grow our own food like my dudes, this is not achievable at scale.
