The best part of my “I don’t get into arguments and have a relationship with my block button approach?” Smiting people is an excellent stress management tool ;)
Programming note- you’re going to notice Nutsy is in some non SEASONALS apparel right now.

He’s got a bad tooth that’s causing pain, and aggravating his hyperesthesia. To help reduce anxiety, I’m using some t-shirts to provide compression.1/

Die Hard is a Christmas movie because the Jewish screenwriter says it’s a Christmas movie.

I don’t make the rules
Die Hard is very much a Christmas movie. It is thoroughly imbued with the holiday spirit. SGT Powell is even humming Christmas songs in his first scene. But the film is also set in LA, which means no one is bundled up against the cold unless the temp falls below 70.

Go right ahead.

Nothing like a public expression of insanity and wrongness.

Top it off with a MAGA hat. And Crocs with socks.

I know you already know, but for other folks who don't, Goldsmith was previously head of OLC, is a genuinely brilliant mind on executive authority and separation of powers, and is usually very cautious about making claims this unqualified and direct. That he is saying it so starkly is v significant

Harvard Law School’s Jack Goldsmith:

“In short, if the Post’s facts are correct, it appears that Special Operations Forces committed murder when the ‘two men were blown apart in the water, as the Post put it.’”

And that’s the sound of Congress creaking back towards a semblance of oversight.

I know a lot of folks are saying “if” they follow through.

Senators and Reps are mad at the White House. There’s a lot of talk about multiple possible pre midterm resignations.

This ain’t good for Team Trump

Also, the average person is terrible at assessing risk. They hear the words "risk" or "side-effect" and think death or disability, not, like, a sore arm or a fever that goes away.
republicans love to leave out the benefits when talking cost-benefit analysis of government programs. they’re using the same technique on vaccines. they don’t want people to see the full picture/both sides of the equation

There are 73 million kids in the U.S.

At least half of those kids got the COVID vaccine as of pre DT CDC numbers (approx 36 million kids)

10 kids out of 36 million is a very different headline

Small felines- the wood trim is not toilet paper

Stop making your poor grandmother crouch down to clean it.

(Note that I keep telling her to holler if she needs cleaning help. Does she listen? Of course not)

I don’t want to put anybody on blast, but I do want to counter misinformation because I’ve seen this spreading around: If a Medicare Advantage plan drops an older adult, that older adult automatically gets regular Medicare. They do not lose health insurance coverage.

Baby kitten poop is the best
Ladies, gents, and corporeal souls I would like to announce that Mr. Persimmon Fig has finally pooped after around 36 hours. And feels loads better. His hydration has come way up and he’s being very much more active and kitten-ish. He’s not spicy despite finding him outside and is SO SWEET.

This is the correct take. Stewing in white supremacist propaganda is bad for your thinking. And if think you are so savvy that it won’t impact you, you are the exact kind of mark they are slowly converting (I’m looking at you, centrist pundits).
It’s really funny how a generation will roll its eyes at parents who watch Fox News but doesn’t see why being immersed in Twitter is having the same effect. Lots of serious people show up on Fox News too but that shouldn’t be your primary source on the news.
